I am writing to apply for the position of Senior Technical Consultant - Financial Services, posted on LinkedIn.
I have 10+ years of extensive IT experience in Banking and finance domain, designing Java/JEE based Enterprise Applications with scalable, secure and robust frameworks, implementing financial solutions in Enterprise environment for regional and global customers (Banks).
BFSI domain has always been a turf for technological innovations. Banks have to constantly reinvent ways to offer better customer value and this has largely been made possible by Technology evolution. Working in this technologically disruptive domain for a decade has provided me with first hand working experience of best coding practices and principles, software architectures, design & Integration patterns, frameworks like Spring, Microservices, Domain Driven Design and Service Oriented Architectures.
One of my projects required enabling bank to deliver digital capabilities for its customer (end user). With industry moving rapidly towards Apps on electronic devices, Banking APIs have become latest trend in market. I have designed Java based webservices, APIs and Microservices and ensured security of the application through secure coding techniques including OWASP Top10.
While working as a consultant for Oracle, I have had opportunities to work on multiple digital transformation projects for Banks across the globe, leading implementation and development teams distributed across multiple locations.
Each such project posed very different challenges every time - different business, compliance and regulatory requirements, different customer expectations, different project execution methodology, different team structures, and of course different project timelines.
Being involved in such varied projects has enriched my experience in handling technological challenges, in leadership and team management skills, in time management, stakeholder management, project delivery and execution skills.
I also understand the importance of open communication. I’ve found that being able to express concerns, identify roadblocks and discuss alternative solutions with colleagues of varying technical backgrounds has been invaluable in my professional development.
I have managed client (financial Institutions) engagements at site, collaborated with different teams within Bank, analyzed client requirements, discussed with Business owners and Business Analysts to understand pain points, thus was able to deliver quality solutions.
I believe that my varied customer experience, technical and interpersonal skills make me a competitive candidate to be considered for the job.
