My current line of work is running my freelance media production business, EMIKAHI ART, which is almost into its 3rd year of operation. My most recent job was working part time as a cashier/stock person/barista at IGA South Brisbane. I left this position in Nov 2017 due to over-hiring and lack of hours, and have since taken the holiday period to work further on generating clients and starting a remote volunteer internship as a graphic designer/illustrator at Brisbane radio station 4ZZZ.

I started working in hospitality during high school at Red Rooster (cashier, f&b attendant) and McDonalds (food prep, barista). During my time at university, I gained almost 4 years of retail experience working an average of 3-4 days a week as Level 3 Senior Retail Assistant at Mattress Warehouse Direct, a bedding and furniture store. I also did a 6 month Christmas casual contract at Forever 21 to gain experience in fashion retail. I feel that my exposure to both of these industries has served to my advantage in understanding many facets of a workplace.
