The School of Education provides up-to-date and progressive courses giving students the opportunity to gather the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience needed to graduate as an outstanding teacher. Courses are available in a range of early childhood, primary and secondary education settings.
ECU is influential in educational policy and classroom practice at the local, national and international levels.  Our coursed have national standing and prepares educators for all levels of teaching from birth to eight years of age. Our team are amongst the leaders in research in Early Childhood and Primary Education in WA.
The Role
We are seeking an Early Childhood/Primary Education Language and Literacy specialist to enhance our dynamic team of experts in this field. The applicant would have experience both as an academic and in early childhood and/or primary settings.
The key responsibilities of the positions will include but not be limited to:
•    Fostering a research culture
•    Producing recognised research outputs and obtaining research grants
•    Developing and contributing to course curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
•    Supervision of higher degree by research students
•    Engaging in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
•    Strategic and proactive engagement with industry, the profession and the community
•    Demonstrated experience in leading teaching and learning and research in language and literacy
We are seeking a specialist in learning areas such as but not restricted to Language and Literacy, Digital learning and early childhood pedagogy. The requirements for this role are set out in the Selection Criteria. The successful applicant will also be required to obtain a working with children clearance.

This full time, ongoing position attracts a remuneration of $117,573 - $135,570 (Level C) / $143,169 – $157,563 (Level D) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.

Demonstrated capabilities in team and culture leadership, safety, operational excellence and achieving business results.

It is essential for the Centre Director to have experience in and / or sound knowledge of:
The National Law and Regulations
Compliance with written Policies and Procedures in accordance with the National Law
The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
Curriculum implementation and development
Marketing experience and a love of social media platforms
Occupancy growth
Developing, leading and managing a professional and successful team
New staff induction and performance management

We are a family owned 32 place early learning centre located just north of Perth CBD. We are currently recruiting for a new Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant centre.  The successful candidate will be a highly competent Early Childhood Teacher who will drive our school readiness program in the kindergarten room, as well as take on the role of Educational Leader for the entire centre. It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, the planning cycle and reflective practice. You must be able to evidence how you use assessment for learning, appropriately document children’s leaning and development and create and maintain positive relationships with parents.   
This is a permanent part-time position with flexible working hours (6 hours per day) and paid non-contact time each day to undertake mentoring of staff and educational leadership duties for the entire centre.   
Essential Criteria 
·         Bachelor of Education in early childhood 0-8yrs (or more than half way through the degree)
·         Current working With Children Check,
·         First Aid (HTL1004)   
·         Thorough knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
·         Knowledge of the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines
