Western Plains Regional Development is seeking applicants to fill a part-time Project Officer position (30hrs per week) to be located in Condobolin
The Project is part of the National Suicide Prevention Trial and is funded through the Western NSW Primary Health Network.It commences on January the 8th and will finalise by 30th June 2019.
This project aims to undertake work in alignment with the Lifespan model/systems based approach to suicide prevention.
The Project Officer will work with the Senior Project Officer Southern Cluster
• To promote the integration of suicide prevention planning, service design and delivery across relevant health and human services, emergency services, schools and community settings.
• They will Facilitate the establishment of a Local Working Committee and ensure that high priority population groups are represented.
• They will build the knowledge, confidence and capacity of services and community representatives to work together to plan and deliver high quality, evidence based suicide prevention, crisis intervention and post-vention services in response to local needs.
Wages will be under the SCHADS Award and negotiated based on skills and experience.

Western Plains Regional Development is seeking applicants to fill a full-time Senior Project Officer position to be located in Condobolin
The Project is part of the National Suicide Prevention Trial and is funded through the Western NSW Primary Health Network.It commences on January the 8th and will finalise by 30th June 2019
The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for;
• The Supervising and support two Project Officers based in Lachlan and Weddin Shires and act as Executive Officer for the Regional Advisory Group. In consultation with the Regional Advisory Group and Local Working Committees, lead the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Regional Suicide Prevention Plan and the specific strategies that inform it. (described fully in information package)
•               Promoting the integration of suicide prevention planning, service design and delivery across relevant health and human services, emergency services, schools and community settings.
•              Building the knowledge, confidence and capacity of services and community representatives to work together to plan and eliver high quality, evidence based suicide prevention, crisis intervention and post-vention services in response to local needs;
•               Undertaking work in alignment with the Lifespan model/systems based approach to suicide prevention.
Wages will be negotiated under the SCAHDS Award and based on skills and experience.
