About the role

Your key areas of responsibility follows but not limited to:
Develop, coordinate and teach a high quality learning experience that engages students through the conduct of lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or studio sessions as required. Demonstrate a scholarly approach to learning and teaching and contribute to disciplinary teaching pedagogy and research. Keep abreast of innovations in teaching and learning in areas such as, but not restricted to, online and blended delivery and incorporate where appropriate. Participate in innovative course level curriculum design, development and review. Participate in course level curriculum design and development Conduct and publish, or otherwise disseminate high quality and/or high impact research as a member of a team or independently and produce conference/seminar papers and publications from that research.
 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you will have completed either:
a Doctorate in Law in a relevant field;  or a Doctorate in Criminology plus either a law degree with first class honours or a Master of Laws.
You will have a demonstrated capacity for teaching at undergraduate level in subject areas such as  criminal law (domestic and international), forensic psychology, forensic and expert evidence, customs and border protection, juvenile justice, coronial law, and ethics & accountability in criminal justice, preferably with experience in subject co-ordination, and positive teaching evaluations.
You will be a productive researcher with a demonstrated record of publication success, and able to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively within a team and with others from a range of backgrounds.

The Department of Cognitive Science carries out world-leading interdisciplinary research, research training, undergraduate teaching, and engagement across a wide range of domains of cognitive science. The Role

About the role
The Young Hearts service provides professional, confidential counselling, group support and community engagement to children and their non-violent primary care giver who have experienced or are experiencing family and domestic violence. Young Hearts adopts an integrated and person centered approach empowering clients to move from 'surviving to thriving'. This includes working with other services and stakeholders, where relevant and appropriate, to develop a support plan that reflects the unique needs of the children and their non-violent primary care giver. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities
Below is a brief outline of some of the duties and responsibilities of the role:
Assessment and counselling for children who are exposed to or are victims of family and domestic violence as well as supporting the non-violent primary care giver Co-facilitate group programs for children exposed to or are victims of family and domestic violence Attend case management meetings as needed                     Ensure service delivery as per contractual agreements and that clinical standards are maintained within the Children's FDV service Ensure the service operates with a primary emphasis on the safety of the victim and children, and in accordance to Best Practice Models (FDVU) Attend inter-agency and intra-agency networking and training Facilitate and/or participate in group supervision for children's workers Participates in development, evaluation and modification of group programs
 
Selection Criteria
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling and/or Masters in related discipline Eligibility for professional association membership Experience in working therapeutically with individuals and families Skills in counselling and group facilitation with children Time management and administration skills Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and email Knowledge of issues relating to Family and Domestic Violence Knowledge of impact of Family and Domestic Violence on children and Best Practice Guidelines and Principles Able to work effectively in a team environment Able to use initiative to provide services and work independently

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.
 
Remuneration
$69,665 per annum full time salary range per annum pro rata + 9.5% superannuation In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount {remove if casual or contract 3 months or less}.

About the role
Mater Health Services are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the Mater Mothers’ Hospital, as Baby Care Assistants in the hospital’s private wards. Successful applicants will be appointed on a permanent part-time or casual basis, working a 6 hour shift from 10.30pm to 5am across 7 days as required. Actual working hours will be discussed with applicants at interview.
The Mater Mothers' Hospital manages over 9,500 births and 2,200 neonatal admissions each year, including at least 120 neonatal retrievals. The Hospital provides antenatal, perinatal and postnatal services and specialise in caring for severe complications in pregnancy, as well as newborn disorders. Additionally, an ambulatory service provides a number of midwifery antenatal outreach clinics and a Home Care Program.
Salary: $24.85 - $26.95 (Operational Officer Level 2) per hour plus casual loading plus superannuation
What you’ll be doing
As a Baby Care Assistant you will be working closely with the Midwifery team in providing support for mothers and their new babies. The main responsibilities of the role include:
Assisting and guiding mothers with breastfeeding Assisting mothers with hand and pump expressing as required Assisting and providing guidance for parents on settling techniques Providing guidance and advice on baby handling and bathing General cleaning and stocking
To be considered suitable for these positions you need to have completed a Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent) and have experience caring for babies, ideally within a work environment.
