Fixed Term - 2 Years Full-time position (Based in Port Pirie or Port Augusta)
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Team provides high level specialist support to the Catholic Education Office (CEO) and schools.
We are seeking an experienced ICT Support Officer to join our team with responsibility for supporting a number of schools within the region.  The position may be located in either St Mark's College, Port Pirie or Caritas College, Port Augusta, as negotiated with the successful incumbent.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
providing superior professional services to our customers; ensuring all assigned support requests (Incidents) are promptly resolved to maintain the secure and reliable operation of ICT Standard Services; providing incident response including information collection, initial diagnostics, ticket creation and resolution for user issues and incidents (Level 1 support); providing incident diagnostics and resolution for issues not resolvable over the phone, which may include visiting a user to resolve an issue (Level 2 support); identifying potential recurring problems looking for common causes and resolution; installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting services including, but not limited to, operating software, applications and systems as necessary.
Skills and experience
To be successful in the role you will possess relevant qualifications and/or industry certification with sound practical ICT experience of general operating systems and software (Apple and Microsoft technologies). Demonstrated experience in effectively planning work activities, setting priorities to achieve and meet objectives and deadlines is also essential.
The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and high level problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic ethos and the mission and values of the CEO. Applicants must hold a current driver's licence and will be required to pass our clearance process (including  DCSI Check).
