The mine consists of hard rock open pits, crushing facilities and stock loadout.
Simcoa Mines is seeking a Site Supervisor, with a mechanical trade background, at least 5 years’ experience in the quarrying/ mining/ crushing industry and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a leadership role.  The position facilitates the efficient operation of the Moora mine, to achieve production, efficiency, quality and cost targets.   Supervising, planning, maintaining and optimising daily mining and crushing activities are key tasks of the position.
Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all works are performed in a manner that is compliant with all legislative and statutory requirements, and consistent with company policies, procedures and standards; and that the mine is operated safely. You will achieve this by ensuring compliance to and improving the safe systems of work; optimising the use of allocated resources, including people, raw materials and equipment, through the development and implementation of effective planning, scheduling and management of plant, equipment and human resources.  As the structure is lean there will be times when you will be required to assist with the performance of fixed plant maintenance on equipment such as crushers and conveyors. It is critical that the successful applicant is prepared to be appointed as the Registered Mine Manager and/or Quarry Manager in the absence of the Mine Manager.

Job Responsibilities
Reassemble machines and equipment following repair; test operation; and make adjustments as necessary. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters and light vehicles Diagnose, repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment, grinders. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters and hand tools. Knowledge of AMS technology Record details of repairs made and parts used. Clean and lubricate parts. Service or overhaul engines. Dismantle defective machines for repair. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
The successful applicants will:
Have relevant heavy diesel trade qualifications preferably in the agricultural industry Possess the ability to deliver competent technical support to the customers and apprentice Have high level diagnostic experience with electrical systems and circuits Be able to work in a field service environment. Be computer literate. Have pride in the work you turn out and be able to work to time frames and deadlines Be a team player with good communication skills with managers and customers

About the role
This major player in the industry now has a rare opportunity as Group Service Manager, to oversee three of their busy workshops. The role is based on the ground, right in the heart of the Wheatbelt.

Primarily you will be required to:

Develop, communicate and monitor best practice processes to ensure customer satisfaction Create, execute and monitor annual Service Department goals, budget and marketing plans Participate in customer clinics, field days and related promotional events to build the business Assist in recruiting, employee development and training Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge
You will lead a team of around 45 staff including a hands-on Service Manager at each location.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with agricultural machinery of any colour! You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to ensure the productivity and profitability of the service department. About the location
