The Role

YMCA of the Northern Territory has recently been successful in obtaining the Tender to manage the newly refurbished Parap pool, along with Casuarina and Nightcliff pools. We are currently seeking Duty Managers to join our team to be a part of this exciting new chapter for YMCA.
These are casual opportunities with an hourly rate of $27.71, weekend and public holiday rates apply.
 
The Role
The Duty Manager will have delegated authority of the Manager and provides support to all Lifeguards on a daily basis. As well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Palmerston Swimming & Fitness Centre and identifying potential risk factors, Duty Managers will act as positive role models to all staff.
 
Key Responsibilities include
Display leadership to all facility staff to ensure performance meets expectation Responsible for ensuring reporting and communication of all first aid administration, near misses, major incidents, faults and issues that occur or your shift or within the centre Ensure personal and staff compliance to all relevant daily checklist expectations Completing pool tests and regular plant room checks and tasks. Ensure centre presentation is of the highest standards at all times throughout the course of your shift Provide exceptional customer service at all times
 
Selection Criteria
Current Pool Lifeguard Current First Aid 6 months experience as a Lifeguard, minimum Knowledge of Pool Tests and basic plant room operations

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse on a full time (12 month maximum term contract) basis to join our team. This role is based in Alice Springs, with some regional travel to other locations.
 Key Responsibilities Conducting health assessments with children and adults with a disability accessing our services or the NDIS Provide high level care assessments and advise of implications for the care team Provide clinical knowledge and expertise to support the placements of service users accessing our Disability, Out of Home Care and Aged Care services. Develop and monitor health care plans around meeting the changing health needs of individuals. Educate personnel, including support workers and carers, on how to support clients with complex health needs including performing complex health care procedures. 
  Skills & Experience You must hold a degree qualification in Registered Nursing and current registration with appropriate board. Significant experience working with people with a disability who have high support medical needs.
 
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
       
 
Benefits Attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, including $72,900 to $90,000 annual salary range, tool of trade vehicle, mobile phone and laptop + non for profit tax reduction options.
