Based in Brookvale
Monday - Thursday: 7am-4pm, Friday: 7am-12pm with a 30minute lunch break (39hrs /week which is including 1hr overtime)
Salary $51,300 + Superannuation
Our client is plastics manufacturing company located in Brookvale. They create massive grease traps and filters that are used commercially. The work atmosphere in the manufacturing area is fun and focused; get to work, listen to great music, and get the job done. In this position you will join a team and helping with the assembly of the large plastic tanks, as well as assembling the plastic and metal components, some plastic welding and finally putting it all together.
This is a hands-on job, you need to be agile enough to climb in and out of the tanks to do the fitting work, and while experience is not essential, you do need to have common sense.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working from plans & drawing sheets, measuring out, welding and angle grinding.
Using hand tools to measure, cut, drill & screw
Assembly of large sized bulky products in accordance with work instructions
Follow SOP and verbal instructions, work orders using job and part numbers
Performs quality checks to ensure all work is to specification
Assures quality of work by accurately completing check sheets
To be Considered:
You must have had practical experience in a role such as; plastic manufacturing, metal fabrication, wood working or similar
Must be physically able to climb into the drums via a ladder (about 1.5m high) and able to lift yourself back out.
Have a good command of English to follow the instructions
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
An ability and willingness to learn quickly, and a high level of common sense
Metal fabrication, wood working experience preferred & poly or plastic welding experience is an advantage
Ability to climb in and out of large plastic tanks to assemble internal components
