Queensland Injectors Health Network (QuIHN) Ltd is firmly established as a state-wide service that supports and promotes the health and well-being of people who currently use illicit drugs / those who have used illicit drugs, associated mental health concerns, and members of the community touched or affected by illicit drugs.
QuIHN is seeking experienced Alcohol and Other Drug counsellors in the following locations: Townsville (22.5 hours per week), Mackay(15 hours per week) and Mt Isa (15 hours per week). These roles will be dedicated to the provision of alcohol and other drug counselling to clients supervised by Queensland Corrective Services via its  Probation and Parole centres . These positions will primarily be facilitated between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, delivering services at the QuIHN office, Probation and Parole offices and in an outreach capacity. Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Planning & Projects, this position is a permanent residential role, on a standard Monday to Friday roster configuration, with the option of Fly in Fly out for the right candidate.
The primary outcome of this role will be to assist the operational crew within the Processing Technical Services department. One of the major business requirements will be to plan future production activity and report on variance to this plan. This position will be responsible for conducting daily, weekly and monthly production reporting activities and setting production plans that maximise value to the business, resolving technical and operational issues that are limiting the current grade-recovery position under the existing process flow sheet.
This role will maintain effective project management, apply process understanding to identify technical and operational issues and complete medium scale projects to deliver cost savings, increased revenue and improved product quality.
To succeed in these roles you will possess a degree in Chemical Engineering, or a minerals processing related discipline and have at least 3+ years’ operational experience in the Mining industry. Experience across the Concentrator in a Plant Metallurgist capacity will be looked upon favourably.
