The Electrical, Metal Trades (EMT) and Transport Supervisor provides Subject Matter Expertise relating to the department capabilities and may be required out of hours to consult on technical matters and defect repairs at the Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt (NCS HEH).
Under limited direction from the Very Low Frequency (VLF) Infrastructure Manager. You will be responsible to provide leadership, direction and supervision of the Electrical, Metal Trades and Transport (EMT) team and are responsible for matters pertaining to the maintenance and repair of VLF Infrastructure and associated equipment within the department’s skillsets.
The role includes management of resources, including personnel and materiel to achieve contract performance requirements, customer liaison, scheduling and involvement in relevant projects.

About the position:
The Senior Mechanic is responsible for all repairs and maintenance of the City’s vehicle fleet, plant and equipment, and ensures effective maintenance planning for workshop activities within the designated budget.
Key accountabilities:
