The role
Reporting to the Western Australian Trading Manager you will primarily be responsible for the development of new business and the retention of existing suppliers of recycled metals within the broader Perth region.
You will be required to work autonomously within a small team and be accountable for daily supplier management, retention of key accounts and maximising margin.
 
Your role will include but not be limited to:
 
Building rapport and establishing clear lines of communication with Sims Metal Management's existing supplier base Gathering market intelligence and reporting on industry activity Participating in tender and major contract negotiations relating to your specific supplier base Project managing off-site metal recovery including processing, loading and transport from time to time in consultation with the relevant operations staff Growing market share by telephone and face to face meetings with generators of metal Meet both retention and business growth KPI's
