Purpose of the Role

To deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services within the acute care areas including the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department with appropriate community liaison as directed by the Director of Occupational Therapy. Provide leadership and mentoring to assist in the ongoing development of Occupational Therapy services within the Cairns Hospital especially within Acute Care, linking with other Allied Health practitioners in relevant clinical areas as directed by the Director of Occupational Therapy.
