Our Resources team provides a range of civil, structural mechanical, materials handling and electrical engineering design and project management services to mining and resources clients around Australia.
Due to growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join our Adelaide office, based within our Resources division. The position will require some travel to remote sites.
As an Estimator you will:
Prepare estimates, quantities, prices and costings for projects under the guidance of the Senior Estimator • Prepare estimates for minor projects without supervision • Ensure costs for estimates are based on realistic timing and cost structures. • Liaise with external consultants as appropriate when developing projects estimates. • Use current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends when preparing estimates • Provide investigation and analysis of detail estimates and projects for factors and costs. • Be familiar with estimating procedures, and practices • Implement company practices when preparing estimates • Plan and allocate tasks to ensure deadlines are met. • Observe safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards and environmental risks.
