Responsibilities of Front End Engineer
Work with product designers and founders to build a next-generation web application with a focus on an extraordinary client-side experience
Build efficient and reusable front end abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Participate in design and code reviews
Communicate with other team members to figure out the best solutions to difficult problems
Help to identify and communicate standard practices and methodologies for front end engineering
Interact with our back end systems

Requirements of Front End Engineer
Knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS)

About the role
Based in Sydney you will Implement Goldwind's SCADA system to meet the specific technical and regulatory needs of Goldwind Australia's wind farms. You will coordinate China based design staff to design and configure market specific enhancements to Goldwind's SCADA system and oversee the installation and commissioning of Goldwind SCADA systems on Goldwind Australia's projects.
 
Duties
Implement Goldwind's SCADA system to meet the specific technical and regulatory needs of Goldwind Australia's wind farms. Manage software versioning and upgrades in Goldwind wind turbine controllers to meet the specific technical and regulatory needs of Goldwind Australia's wind farms. Ensure that Goldwind's grid software models (PSS/E, PSCAD, Powerfactory etc.) accurately match the performance of Goldwind's wind turbines and park controllers. Coordinate China based design staff to design and configure market specific enhancements to Goldwind's SCADA system. Oversee the installation and commissioning of Goldwind SCADA systems on Goldwind Australia's projects. Coordinate SCADA designs and interfaces with grid companies, contractors and suppliers. Maintain SCADA systems on Goldwind operating wind farms and offices under the direction of the Service Manager subject to conditions of Operation and Maintenance contracts. Provide technical support and assistance to external customers on the capabilities of Goldwind products. 
  
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline (electrical power, mechanical or renewable engineering) Specific experience in SCADA and controls engineering within power generation (preferably in the Australian renewables industry) Ability to understand and manage complex technical issues Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
