About the role:
The Foster Care Case Manager provides supervision and support to foster carers caring for children in foster care, which includes accepting referrals and placement of children for general and intensive placements,
A key focus of the role is to work in partnership with Child Protection and other support services, as well as foster carers to provide a holistic trauma informed service using the Best Interests Case Practice Framework.
This is a maternity leave replacement from June 2018 to March 2019.
Skills, duties and experience:
* A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent (essential)
* Provide quality service provision to children and foster carers of the Out of Home Care Program. 
* Liaise with family of origin regarding their children in foster care as appropriate 
* Be involved in all functions pertaining to the recruitment, training and assessment of foster carer families 
* Maintain records including case notes, reports, plans and statistics within required timelines 
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Child Protection, and other government and community organisations 
* Support practice that is family and culturally sensitive and that complies with all legislative and funding requirements, Baptcare and DHHS policies and procedures

Effective interpersonal, time management, communication and negotiation skills, including liaising with other key people known to the young person and their family (such as school professionals). Demonstrated experience in preparing project plans, written reports, maintaining records, including data collection and reporting. Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally sensitive way with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and Indigenous families. Demonstrated understanding of social justice principles and community capacity building, and an ability to contribute to the mission and spirit of the agency.

Expressions of interest are invited from outstanding Digital Technologies teachers to teach Years 5 - 8 classes in the Keilor Campus Middle School for Term 3. Included will be responsibility for running a Coding Club and also some sports supervision. Teaching some Religious Studies may be a part of the allotment. Details of teaching allocation and timetable will be discussed at interview.
The teacher we are seeking will have the following qualities:

Project Support Officer - School Focused Youth Services

The School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) is a partnership project between Hobsons Bay City Council, Wyndham City Council and the Department of Education and Training.  The service aims to strengthen partnerships between local schools and agencies to implement targeted intervention projects addressing service gaps to support vulnerable children and young people 10-18 years.
 
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced project officer with a passion for working in a team environment and overseeing the implementation of a range of evidence based programs within primary and secondary schools to support students at risk of disengaging.  

The position is funded by the Department of Education and Training and reports to the SFYS Senior Project Officer. The role is required to work effectively and collaboratively with SFYS staff and youth services teams across Hobsons Bay and Wyndham City Councils.
 
The successful applicant will have a track record of implementing strength based programs using appropriate evaluation and reporting within a team environment. You will also have proven ability to plan and prioritise a diverse workload and a customer focused approach to maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholder groups.
The role is part time for a fixed term ending on the 21 December 2019. The successful applicant will be based with Hobsons Bay Youth Services, but may be required to perform duties across Wyndham and Hobsons Bay local government areas.
