Beef Feedlot worker
North West NSW Permanent Position with accommodation on site Our client is a family owned producer of beef who are currently seeking someone to join their Cattle Feedlot Team located west of Moree, NSW.
Duties will involve working across both the feed and stock teams, assisting with day-to-day duties and operations including milling, feeding, tractor and front end loader operating, penriding, low stress cattle handling, loading and unloading of trucks, handling and storage of commodities, repairing and maintaining all fixtures & dwellings directly related to the mill, pens etc. and to ensure safety and a clean & healthy environment is sustained.
Your duties may include:
Diagnosis & treatment of sick cattle • Pen movements of cattle • Drafting & weighing of incoming & outgoing cattle • General stock handling and record keeping • Prepare and mix rations according to batching sheet • Batch, load and deliver feed in a timely and accurate fashion according to direction from the manager • Ensure pens, bunks and troughs are clean and suitable for use daily • Responsible use of all feed mill machinery and equipment • Appropriate handling of commodities, ensuring longevity and contaminate free storage • Participate in scheduled cleaning and maintenance of machinery and equipment • Record all activities in appropriate register or operational diary • Additional farm related duties as deemed necessary by management.
