The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School in disciplines related to their field of expertise, which should incorporate recent experience in online media production. More specifically, the Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within the Undergraduate Media program and should demonstrate an ability to integrate their professional and/or creative practice with teaching and research. Experience with media technologies will be preferred: these technologies include (but are not limited to) television and radio studios, digital black boxes, app development/programming, and augmented/virtual reality production. The Lecturer will be encouraged to bring this experience into their teaching practice and course offerings for students. The Lecturer may also be responsible for course coordination and may be asked to undertake more specialised administrative and program-based leadership tasks within the School.
Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking an individual with a proven record of academic and/or professional achievement in the field of media as it relates to RMIT University’s research efforts: this could include publications, creative works, or professional experience in the fields of radio, TV, film, online production, augmented/virtual reality, or programming. You will have proven ability to undertake high quality research resulting in high quality journal articles in recognised international journals together with your ability to prepare and win competitive research grants. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment, will be necessary for success in this role.

Anglicare Victoria is looking to engage full-time volunteers to care for young people in an exciting new evidenced based model of foster care being piloted in Australia for the very first time. Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) is an internationally recognised model of foster care with over 30 years of experience operating in the USA, UK and New Zealand. This new and exciting model will help young people to thrive in a short term foster care placements which will focus on supporting them to engage in positive behaviours, education, skills and relationship building. This program will provide an important opportunity to improve life outcomes for our most vulnerable young people in out of home care and give them every chance to create a better future.
How is this program different?
The 'treatment' element of the program happens in your home and you are highly support to engage the young person in a behaviour modification program which is structured, targeted and successful in reaching desired outcomes based on over 30 years of operation and research.
Who are we looking for?
There is no such thing as a 'perfect carer' and for TFCO we are looking for a broad range of households to support the diversity of the young people who require a placement. We are looking for people from all walks of life, including those from diverse cultures, religions, and family compositions.
Specifically we are recruiting couples, singles and families who:
have a passion for supporting young people and want to make a significant difference in the life of a young person
have adequate space in their home, including a private bedroom for the young person

are able to dedicate a lot of time to a young person

Applicants can be existing fosters carers or people new to foster care. Either way we will provide you with the necessary training, assessment and ongoing support.
What you will receive
This young person and many like her need a home which offers consistency, guidance and attention for 6- 9 months and in exchange you will receive 24/7 staff support, thorough  training, and a tax-free financial reimbursement of $2200 a fortnight (pro-rata).
Ideally carers will be either un-employed or have the ability to work flexible hours. In exchange we will provide a generous tax-free reimbursement to reflect this commitment.
