Some of what is required:
  • Site visits to supervise construction and coordinate contractors.
  • Assist in conducting tenders.
  • Liaison with production to ensure manufacture and installation is maintained to the highest level.
  • Preparing development applications for submission with Council.
  • Liaising with Council in negotiations and planning matters.
  • Project management including design consults, construction planning, coordinating.
  • Keep client informed of all updates and project progress.
  • After care follow up and feedback.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage a development project right through from conception to completion.
We need someone who believes in real quality customer service and who has a demonstrated track record of successfully handling a number of jobs/projects simultaneously.
Ideally, you would have:
  • Construction industry experience.
  • Civil Engineer qualifications/experience is desirable.

This company is proactive and been expanding in the last few years. This is a Fantastic opportunity for CNC Machinist to take the next step in a high quality manufacturing workshop that can cater for all production sizes.
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and confident CNC trade person who has experience in CNC Milling and at times when needed move to a lathe. As a trade qualified CNC machinist with a keen eye for detail your role will need to operate and set CNC Milling machines. As a CNC machinist you will be setting and operating Okuma / Fanuc controlled Milling Machines.
Work is varied between low volume & medium production volumes for a variety of industries, as well as the manufacture of our Own Products.

Our client is a long established, multi franchised new car dealership located in Canberra. They are seeking to appoint an additional Parts Interpreter to ease the workload on current staff. The dealership offers security of tenure, career advancement opportunities for deserving staff and a friendly working environment. Trading Monday to Friday only, so no Saturday work is required.
Applicants for this role must have current or recent automotive industry parts interpreting experience. Those with franchised dealership experience will have a definite advantage, however candidates with aftermarket auto parts experience are also welcome to apply. You may need to work from time to time on the front counter, back counter or on the telephone.
Salary will be in the $50k to $55k range (depending on previous experience), plus super.

The Opportunity
This position has come about due to continued growth and the desire to propel the business to the next level. Pivotal in this will be your role as Civil Estimator. To excel in this role we envisage that you’ll be either
● An experienced Civil Estimator/Engineer with a strong track record & client relationships
● And someone able to identify and bring opportunities to the business
OR
● A Civil Estimator (min. 3 years exp) seeking to progress to the next level, and
● Able to hit the ground running, develop and take on a future leadership role
Key Attributes
To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:
● Minimum 3 years relevant Civil estimating experience in Australia
● Demolition, civil construction and remediation contracting experience
● An in-depth understanding of contracts and contract administration
● Ability to interpret drawing plans
● Doing quantity take offs for tenders, contract variations & coordination of site works
● Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
● Able to prioritise and work to tight, often competing deadlines
● Be highly analytical with strong attention to detail
● Proven track record of winning tenders on civil and rail infrastructure
● Experience in producing short term programs & cost tracking spreadsheets
● Ability to work autonomously or in a team, and attend site meetings
● Proficient in Microsoft Excel
In addition, the following would be highly regarded:
● Bachelor Degree (Civil and/or Construction)
● Project Management experience
