An opportunity is available for a Mine Scheduling Engineer to join our client's operations just outside of Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for safe and sustainable production via planning and execution of all mining activities.

The Role
Contribute to the mine planning and scheduling processes, ensuring they support and meet operational objectives
Timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and budget schedules, appropriately aligned with the LOM and budget
Monitor mining performance physicals and data to identify opportunities for increased output
Identify and communicate areas of risk in the schedule
Contribute to mine planning and stope note processes, including detailed stope reconciliation.
Identify and provide engineering support to the implementation of business improvement opportunities
Liaise with and provide support to external contractors with regards to underground operational and schedule requirements
Ensure performance against mine plans and schedules is tracked
Contribute to the mine planning and scheduling processes, through the provision of technical capacity in various areas including mine planning, drill & blast, backfill, ventilation and scheduling.
Ensure the Mining Department meeting its environmental, community and statutory obligations and is considered a welcome guest in host communities

The Requirements
Appropriate Mining Engineering qualification, as required for WA First Class Mine Manager certification
Completion of underground practical experience
Relevant work experience applicable to the role
Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures
Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks
High level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals
Commercial acumen relevant to the role

Currently, one of our clients are seeking an experienced Underground Senior Mining Engineer, to join their Kalgoorlie-based team. This role will see you leading the technical services team and providing specialist input and the required UG mining engineering, geotechnical, geological and surveying services.

The Key Duties
Produce practical mine designs (including infrastructure and development) to enable exploration of mining blocks over the LOM period
Produce and maintain rolling production schedules
Communicate with the Shift Supervisor, crew and technical staff on plans and issues
Analyse and optimise ventilation systems
Review applications of different mining methods and the impact on the economic viability of mining blocks and recommend changes as required
Undertake rigorous economic evaluations of individual mining blocks
Design development drives, stoping blocks, blast ring layouts and work plans are required
Identify and set production priorities
Activey promote a zero-harm culture, through your ongoing safety leadership and safe work practice
