Key Accountabilities:
PLANT LIFECYCLE COSTS
Contribute to reducing plant lifecycle costs by:- Investigating and analysing breakdowns, failures and sub-optimal performance of equipment; Conducting reliability studies on selected plant equipment and systems; Recommending improvements to plant operation, maintenance strategy and component specification; Implementing recommended improvements as appropriate.
PLANT CONDITION
Contribute to the maintenance of plant condition by:- Reviewing condition monitoring reports and recommendation; Implementing recommended improvements as appropriate; Identifying and recommending requirements for plant condition monitoring. Assisting in Preventative Maintenance Optimisation
MODIFICATIONS AND REPAIRS
Ensure the quality of modifications and repairs carried out by:- Reviewing the scope of work and selecting appropriate engineering specifications; Conducting, facilitating and reviewing modification and repair inspections.
CAPITAL PROJECTS
Contribute to the success of capital projects by:- Reviewing the reliability and maintainability of the project at the design stage; Reviewing the scope of work and selecting appropriate engineering specifications; Reviewing maintenance handover documentation at project completion, which includes maintenance strategies.

We are currently seeking Experienced MULTI SKILLED OPERATORS for work with a well known Mining Company to FIFO from Darwin. These opportunities exist for skilled and experienced OPERATORS who will contribute to the successful operations of this mine site.

Safe and effective operation various machinery Maintain high standard of housekeeping on equipment Communicate with other operators and assist in traffic management
Skills/Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience on at least two of the following CAT 993 & 994 Loaders CAT 16M / 16H Graders CAT D10 T/R or D11 T/R Dozers Mechanical Dump Trucks
Must have proof of prior experience RII preferred A medical including drug and alcohol testing is required as part of the recruitment process
Must be reliable and have a strong commitment to safety

Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Production Metallurgist to join our team at Paddington. Reporting to Metallurgical Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Paddington operational crews, inclusive of the gold room and ROM loader teams, and haulage for the operations, while maintaining safety behaviour and cost commitment consistent with Norton Gold Fields values.
The Key Tasks of the role include:
Provide effective support and knowledge in the creation of budgets and processing plans. Direct input into the operation of the processing plant to ensure budget and forecast targets are met. Provide leadership, advice and mentor the production team. Ensure crew levels always meet minimum operational requirements. Constantly improve production performance of processing plant by focusing on test work and evaluation of parameters. Identify areas of improvement by presenting processing projects. Ensuring processing crews are able to operate and control the plant to required targets such as gold recovery and mill throughput. Maintain a vigilant approach to identify, manage and improve issues relating to the processing plant and services. Implementation of agreed process performance improvement strategies Ensure operating and capital expenditure remains on or below budget. Ensuring the performance of each section of the processing plant is optimised when available.
The ideal applicant will have:
Bachelor Science or Engineering in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Diploma of applied science. Minimum 7+ years’ of relevant experience in CIL/CIP gold processing plant; Good understanding of the Mines Safety Act and Regulation; Good understanding of all relevant State and Federal legislation relevant to Mining Operations in Western Australia; Good understanding of applicable Health and Safety standards and codes of practice; Current unencumbered C Western Australian Drivers Licence (manual). Senior First Aid (Desirable).
