Provide advice to the supervisor on contributed assets meeting Council requirements in that they are satisfactory and acceptable to Council standards. Participate in the survey plan endorsement process. Develop, distribute, enforce and assess against as-constructed related standards in accordance with the Land Development Guidelines and Standard Electronic Format for as constructed Data. Project manages Council compliance procedures for constructed works, the management of bond assessment though to the return of bond monies and procurement of associated works. Make a substantial commitment to the operational policies, practices and guidelines relevant to the role and on occasions when requested project manage the delivery of these related projects.

Your new role:
As the Building Maintenance Manager you will be oversee the day to day operations of a large portfolio of works in the regional areas of WA. This diverse portfolio require you to ensure the timely, effective and safe management of non process infrastructure including camp facilities, water treatment plants, airports, warehouses, and road condition.
Your role will be to effectively manage the division of 35 with three direct reports at Supervisor level. Your people management skills will permit you to maintain a collaborative environment and forge a strong client focus. You will manage the execution of approved asset management plans and operational practices to provide reliable and predictable performance for the designated portfolio of assets. Operational delivery will be your primary focus, ensuring consistency and strong client relationships.
The integrity of the facilities is to be managed through the identification of project improvements and compliance to the client’s processes. Your team will recommend and propose options for upgrading facilities within the designated area to improve network integrity and assess the feasibility of such options. Your role will be on a FIFO basis on a week: week roster.
What you'll need to succeed:
Reporting to the Operational Manager, you will have an extensive maintenance trade/engineering background and proven management experience. You will need a sound understanding of the operations and maintenance environment within the Mining industry. With experience in compliance requirements for buildings you will also need a risk management approach to building management and have a commercially savvy approach to budgeting, scheduling and execution of works.
