The company has experienced substantial growth and is seeking a high level Assistant Production Manager to join the team, leading the afternoon shift from midday to 8pm weekdays.
Reporting to and working alongside the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the afternoon shift production schedule and output, procurement, inventory and systems management, WH&S, as well as consistently improving operations and processes of the business. We are seeking a skilled Manager with a proven background in production management and working to best practice production systems.
About you:
  • At least 2 years' minimum experience in a team leader / assistant production management role
  • Experience within the glass/glazing industry highly regarded
  • Strong leadership ability with the skills to direct, train and develop staff
  • Systemised approach to manufacturing
  • Good level of reporting, email and computer skills
  • Committed to continuous improvement across manufacturing and systems development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong team player
