About the position
We have fantastic opportunity for a 3rd or 4th year apprentice mechanic to start their career with our friendly and professional team in JAX Store Campbelltown, working of under the supervision of a highly experienced mechanic.
As an Apprentice Mechanical Technician, you will be required to carry out the servicing and the mechanical duties in accordance with Australian industry standards and as specified by JAX Tyres.
You need to identify and rectify vehicle faults focusing on JAX Approved mechanical steering, breaks and suspensions, seasonal oil service.
Occasionally you may be required to make adjustments to the alignment and conducting post alignment checks and road testing if required.
You are when required to carry out the fitting, balancing, repairs and general serving of tyres and ancillary products as directed, to a standard that enhances the Company, its products and services with a view to extend tyre wear and maximize our customers' return on investment.
Following Training, the successful applicant will:
Recognise and report obviously worn or potentially dangerous components of customer vehicles
Successfully repair of all Customer vehicles focusing on JAX Tyres Core products of tyres, wheels, brakes and suspensions and associated services
Excellent customer service and time management skills
Be fit and able to carry out manual labour
Comply with WH&S rules, regulations and procedures
Be reliable & punctual on a daily basis
Be positive and have 'can-do 'attitude
Accept and work well in a cheerful, helpful, professional culture
Possess valid current Australian driver's licence
