A new opportunity has been established for an experienced Service Technician to join the team in a permanent full time role servicing the Brisbane and surrounding areas. The role is also open for an immediate start.
Reporting to the Service Manager as part of the service team, you will be responsible for service, mechanical repairs, installation of systems and reporting of any faults for clients within the Brisbane and Northern Gold Coast regions. It will primarily be local with some short away trips periodically.
Working Monday to Friday, we are seeking a candidate that meets the following criteria:
  • Trade qualifications (either Fitter & Turner, Boilermaker or mechanical)
  • Electrical qualifications or a restricted electrical licence
  • At least 2 years minimum experience in a similar service role would be ideal
  • Must have an Fork licence, EWP and manual driver's licence
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability
  • A strong ability to read and interpret diagrams and an understanding of circuits

The Role
Working in ACT you will be working as Project Engineer on pre-dominantly on construction and upgrades to the track. This extensive project requires a Project Engineer who has previous experience with track reconstruction, re-surfacing and re-opening. This will initially be working onto stage two of the project which aims to improve efficiency for the network as a whole as well as ensuring safety remains at the highest standard possible.
This is a permanent position within a business that operate over the whole of Australia. Initially you will be working on a ACT based project but there will be opportunities for Engineers to move nationally within the business. The company regularly operate on large projects and specialise very heavily on rail projects.
Reporting to the Senior Project Staff your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Have an understanding of the implementation of quality assurance procedures, manuals and checklists
Assist in preparation and review of work method statements
